Accreditation and Authorization
Gulf University is REGISTERED UNDER THE UTAH POSTSECONDARY PROPRIETARY SCHOOL ACT (Title 13, Chapter 34, Utah Code).
Registration under the Utah Postsecondary Proprietary School Act does not mean that the State of Utah supervises, recommends, nor accredits the institution. It is the student’s responsibility to determine whether credits, degrees, or certificates from the institution will transfer to other institutions or meet employers’ training requirements. This may be done by calling the prospective school or employer.
Gulf University is not accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education.
Grievance
If the student complaint cannot be resolved after exhausting the institution’s grievance procedure, the student may file a complaint with the Utah Department of Commerce – Division of Consumer Protection. What is Accreditation
Accreditation is a voluntary, nongovernmental process to evaluate an institute according to pre-set criteria by the accrediting agency.
Gulf University is not accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. GU plans to apply for accreditation in the future.
What is Licensure
Gulf University’s program is not designed to lead to licensure. If you are considering an academic program that may lead to a professional license in the future, it is highly recommended that you first seek guidance from the appropriate licensing agency in the state or country of licensure interest before beginning the academic program.
